Policies

 

ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE

  1. Check-in time starts at 3:00 pm and check - out time ends at 10:00 am. Quiet time starts at 11:00 pm.

  2. A half-day room charge may be incurred for late check-out between 10:30 am to 1:00 pm and a full day room charge may be incurred for late check-out after 1:30 pm.

  3. Motel's reception closes at 10:00 pm. Please call us to arrange late check-in. No check-in after midnight.

  4. The rates quoted are based on your period of stay. Rates are subject to change as a result of changes in your arrival and/or departure dates.

  5. The posted rates are for up to two adults (default) and are subject to 13% HST. A $20 fee will be charged for each additional adult guest 18 years and older. Children stay free. Fees apply should additional bed be required.

  6. We may ask for a $200 per room security deposit for groups/multi-room bookings.

  7. Maximum occupancy of the Standard Room is 4 persons. Maximum occupancy of the Studio is 2 people.

  8. Should you arrive at the hotel prior to the normal check-in time, you are advised to approach the motel’s manager for assistance in storing your luggage until check-in is available. If arriving early, you are also advised to consider making a reservation for the evening prior to your arrival.

  9. Late check-outs are available on request subject to room availability and occupancy level (see point 2).

  10. Please check with the reception desk at least 24 hours prior to your departure on availability of late check-out.

  11. The room key must be returned to us. The lost key fine is $50.

  12. A valid credit card is required to secure your reservation.

CANCELLATION POLICY

  1. Cancellation of and/or revisions to your reservation must be made up to 48 hours/ 2 days prior to your arrival date. Example: if your check -in date is on the 12th no-penalty cancellation request must reach us by 11:59 PM on the 9th.

  2. Cancellation made within less than 48 hours of arrival will incur a cancellation fee of one night's room charge (inclusive of HST).

  3. Cancellation for long weekends and for bookings of five-nights or longer as well as any changes and revisions to such bookings must be made up to 7 days in advance of the arrival date. Cancellation & revisions made within less than 7 days of arrival will incur a cancellation fee of two (2) night's stay (inclusive of HST).

  4. In the event of no-show defined as no check-in before 11:59 pm of the first booked night, the full cost of the booking including the HST will be charged to the credit card provided when the reservation was made.

ROOMS AND AMENITIES

  1. All our rooms are reserved for our NON SMOKING guests. The non-smoking rule applies to cigarettes, vaps and marijuana. Smoking is allowed in designated areas only. The credit card on file will be charged for up to $250.00 if the room requires additional cleaning services to eliminate odours or damages related to smoking, storing or otherwise using cigarettes, vaporizers and/or marijuana.

  2. We regret to inform you that our rooms are not equipped with ventilation, fire suppression or any proper cooking equipment therefore, cooking in rooms is hazardous and not allowed.  Your credit card account will be charged for up to $250.00 if additional cleaning or restoration services are required to eliminate odours or damages due to cooking.

  3. To ensure that your stay is safe and pleasurable we inspect our premises daily before and after Guests’ arrival. Any damages to rooms, furniture, bedding and/or towels, bathroom fixtures and other equipment caused by our Guests will be charged to the credit card on file.

  4. We have designated two specific rooms to accommodate dogs. These rooms can only be booked through our website or by phone. We charge a one-time fee of $30 by dog for your K9’s stay. Guests are required to inform the Motel staff that they bring in a dog. There is $100 for hiding and not disclosing a dog in a room. Other rules apply and are communicated at the check-in. We do not accommodate cats, birds, snakes or any other animals that you may consider your pet - only dogs.

  5. The Motel is part of a private property. For the safety and security of our guests, the areas labeled as PRIVATE are restricted to the Motel personnel only.

  6. Please do not approach our GUARD DOGS and keep a safe distance from the fenced yard or the house entrance door. They are guard dogs trained to protect. They should not be approached at any time.

  7. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.

  8. We are not be responsible for accidents or injury to Guests or for loss of money, jewelry or valuables of any kind.

By proceeding with the reservation you agree to the rules and conditions of rental. You agree to indemnify and hold the Wayside Motel, its owners and employees harmless of any liability, loss, damage, cost and expense of any nature arising out of, and/or in connection with the acceptance of the room reservation and usage of any of the Wayside Motel facilities.
